Wire on Wire exhibits their unique tunable audio cable, the Experience680

A huge thank you to everyone who paid us a visit last Sunday at the North West Audio Show. It was great to meet you all and talk about our new tunable audio interconnect the Experience680.

For those who weren’t able to come, we recommend putting the show in the diary for next year — many companies present, lovely relaxed atmosphere, plenty of space to wander, and a reasonably priced and generous lunch available at the hotel.

We were there to show what our new tunable Experience680 RCA interconnects are capable of and, to that end, we had a set-up allowing listeners to switch between a pair of cables that had been tuned and another that had not.

As you can see in the picture below, we used an Ayre C-5xe with a Graham Slee headphone amp (DIY version of the Novo powered by a PSU1 power supply) powering a pair of AKG K550 MKII headphones.

In spite of the background music and chatter at the show, the majority of you could hear the difference. As one person remarked, with not a little surprise, “subtle but significant, more sense of space and sharper image outlines.”

Some preferred this presentation, whilst others liked the softer outlines and more discrete images they heard on the other cable pair. This choice for the user of our cables is what Wire on Wire is aiming for.

Whether you want to change the presentation of your music because your tastes are changing, or because you’ve moved house and you want to moderate your system to the new acoustics, or you’ve updated your equipment — whatever the reason — it is possible to make changes to our cables to help you adapt.
